Thanksgiving

Hello all of you beautiful people. How was y'all's Thanksgiving? Ours was good! I know I am late in posting for Thanksgiving, but I have been super busy this past week! We had our traditional dinner at my Grammas with her husband, my dad and his girlfriend and my brother. Small group but a good time! Dinner was fabulous as always!
My Thanksgiving thankfuls? Simply put, God. Without Him I wouldn't be here and I wouldn't have my family, my amazing husband or my beautifully amazing baby girl.
I thank God for all of the many blessings He's bestowed upon me and my family. He's an awesome God and without Him in and leading my life I would surely be lost. I praise His holy name.
I also did Kensley's CHRISTmas photo shoot and a shoot for my great Aunt and Uncle's family. My uncle has terminal cancer and this could most likely be the last holiday season we are blessed enough to have with him. I am so greatful they asked me to do them and so happy I got a picture with him as well. He is an amazing guy and a great uncle. I'm very blessed to have him in my life.
I will post Kensley's photos on a separate post after she goes to sleep so stay tuned. God bless each and every one of you, have a great evening and fabulous day tomorrow!! xoxo

Redneck Corkscrew

Yeah, so my friend Amber and I decided we wanted a nice night of friendly chat and a glass or two....or three of wine. :-) Well, the wine I bought, unknowingly at the time, had a cork instead of a screw cap like I normally purchase. So what do southern girls do when they don't have a corkscrew? We use pliers and a screw. LOLOL Here's how that went down!

This picture is beyond embarrassing BUT too funny not to post!!

Yep, thats how its done. LOLOL

Had to add my favorite little man. Aint he precious?

Making Christmas Ornaments

Kensley and I decided to make some of our own Christmas ornaments this year! We saw a cute way to make them on a blog that you can see that and the recipe here.

Family Hands (I accidentally made Kevs pinky crooked lol)

I Love Christmas Time

I recently bought a new Christmas tree. Instead of a 3ft tree I now have a 4ft! Hahahaha!!! There it was sitting in its box staring me down, so today I gave in and Boo and I put it up! We normally put up our tree Thanksgiving night but I just couldn't wait!! :) I'm one of the most impatient people I know! ;)
Boo and I had a lot of fun decorating our new tree with new ornaments. Because we, being female, out rank daddy, we made a girly tree! :D
We also decorated our fridge with an idea I saw on Pinterest. Uncommon, I know! Bwahaha
Although I LOVE Fall and the smell of pumpkin and spice I am totally buying peppermint smellies tomorrow!

I added a top hat to my refrigerator snowman! lol

The Little Things

I have not had a Facebook now since the beginning of August. I do have to sign on every once in a while to retrieve something, whether it be an address, phone number or whatever. Anyway, I signed on the other day and came across something my Mom wrote as her status that day and it made my day. I cant even remember why I signed on but I think God wanted me to read this.
Its the little things like this that count. It's always good to hear that your parents are proud of you and more so that your faith and love for God are showing to those around you and you're spreading it!

Knowing I don't have a Facebook and probably wouldn't read it she still wrote this. Love you Momma.
It reads,"Day 5: I thank God for my first daughter Rachael! I am so proud of the young women you have become! Your faith in God and love for your family is an inspiration to anyone who has the pleasure of knowing you! I admire you not only as a faithful wife to Kevin but as a loving and caring mommy to our lol Kensley Boo! I could not be prouder of you than I am today! Continue to keep your beautiful smile and your ability to see the sunshine through the rain! I love you sweet girl with all my heart!

Stubborn Like Her Momma

Stubborn doesn't even come close to my little girl. She is the most hard headed child I have ever seen in my life. If you put her in her booster seat to eat she will eat 1 bite and say, "all done!" And either hand you her plate or drop it for the dogs to eat. So I found it is easier to set her at the side table and let her eat there.
Now normally, since she has never been one to sit down and eat, I leave her food in her reach so she can eat when she wants while playing. Tonight however, I wanted her to sit and eat with us like a normal child lol and I was not taking "NO" for an answer. ( I give in really easy......normally)
I made homemade beef stew over mashed potatoes, all of which she likes by the way. So she ate one bite and got up to play. I made her sit down and told her after she eats 3 bites she could get up and play. This stubborn child sat there with this stubborn Momma for right at an hour and a half before she finally took those three measly bites. Why did she finally eat them? Because I took three spoonfuls and put them on a paper plate. It looked different so she thought it was something else. She ate that little bit with no problem at all, whilst saying, "mmmm...it's goooooddd".
I have to give it to her though, she didn't have a meltdown at all. She whined a few times but that's it. And I didn't give in! Whoohooo!!!
Now if we could just master potty training....lol!
Anyway, we've had a good day. We've prayed a lot today over our country and "leaders". I've had to give a lot of worry over to The Lord but still have a little anxiety. I guess we take each day as it comes and turn to Christ and trust in Him to keep us safe, nothing else we can do. I hope you all are praying for our nation, we need it. Take care and God Bless.

Pictures from where she is supposed to be eating, but as you can see, she's just being silly until she has a paper plate lolol.

Best Friends Forever? Probably.

What is cuter than your two year old having a best friend? Having two best friends!
I met Amber when we were both pregnant. Our husbands were friends and I knew Zach as well for years before. She and I hit it off immediately and became fast friends. We knew that our girls would be best friends and boy were we right! Amber now has a new baby boy and Kensley loves him just as much!
We had a visit this past weekend with them because Amber and I needed woman friend time as much as the girls needed friend play time. (Okay, the daddies needed some "men time" too lol but they see each other at work) We're blessed that we all get along and are all friends.
Here are some pictures of our silly kids. :D
